the real deal
I've finished my first oral exam (≧▽≦)
I feel like I fumbled up the last part, which was about whether people should grasp basic life skills even though our world is very convenient. Well, the question wasn't phrased like that but that's how I interpreted it. Where's the unreliable narrator tag?
Anyways, I said that we should not learn basic life skills but instead learn new skills, like how to operate washing machines. These skills are much more useful in our lives. And I thought I had a point!
But the examiner asked me a series of confusing questions, making me look dumb and feel wrong. Was this a psychology trick?
Needless to say, I backtracked on my earlier statements and mentioned that in times of disaster or crisis, when using our gadgets is rendered impossible, we have to use our basic life skills. Thus, we actually should learn basic life skills. Bam, a whole 360!
Anyways, not much use in droning on and on about things bygone (づ ̄ 3 ̄)づ
